Hammerite's special formula prevents the spread of existing, well-adhered rust, and its anti-corrosion pigments provide exceptionally long-lasting protection for the painted surface. Unlike most metal paints, Hammerite does not require a primer, it is enough to apply 2 thick coats. The surface to be painted does not need to be sanded to a metallic finish, it is enough to remove loose rust and old, peeling paint. The coating gives a matt finish.
